Ram 2500 Trucks Boast a Strong Foundation
If you’re looking for a new truck, then you probably want to make sure that it can hold up to the toughest jobs. Trucks are only ever as strong as the frame they’re built on. At the heart of the 2018 Ram 2500 lies a 50,000-PSI steel frame that incorporates a series of extra crossbars to provide even more strength. All parts of the frame are made from hydroformed metal that helps to offer the best ratio of durability to weight.
At the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, it was revealed that a new RAM 2500 Chassis cab would become available within the next few months.
Reinforcements were also added to the 6.7L Cummins I6 engine. These tough turbo diesel engines are known for their longevity, and the way that Ram’s engineers installed the motor makes it that much more durable. They’re rated to run upwards of 15,000 miles between oil changes.
